Why not upskill and boost your career prospects with a fully funded level 3 qualification?

£95 million is being invested nationally by the government to fully fund any adult aged 24 and over who wants to achieve their first full level 3 qualification.

Part of the ‘Lifetime Skills Guarantee’ announced by the Prime Minister in September 2020 and funded under the National Skills Fund the courses deliver a range of skills that can be applied across many jobs and sectors.  

Fully Funded Level 3 Courses:

  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)

    The objective of this qualification is to prepare learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling learners to work with and care for children from birth to 5 years, and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

    This is a combined knowledge and competence qualification which is aimed at individuals who would like to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a Level 3 Practitioner. In particular, this level 3 qualification would be most appropriate for aspiring room leaders.

  • NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (England)

    The objective of this qualification is to develop people wanting to work in the children and young people’s workforce from birth up to 19 years. It covers a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas including those in social care settings.

    This is a combined knowledge and competence qualification which is aimed at individuals who would like to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to work unsupervised with children and young people. In particular, this level 3 qualification would be most appropriate for level 2 qualified practitioners/carers.

    The objective of this qualification is to support a warehousing and storage role in the workplace. This is a combined knowledge and competence qualification which is aimed at individuals who would like to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to supervise within the warehousing environment. In particular, this level 3 qualification would be most appropriate for senior warehouse persons or team leaders.

    The programme will give the learner a comprehensive understanding of the entire supply chain, are responsible for their impact on each function and strive to deliver the best value for their business and customer. Due to the high number of interactions both within and outside of the business, they need strong relationship building, influencing, stakeholder management and communication skills alongside sound analytical, information technology and numeracy skills, with an ability to work in a fast paced environment with frequently changing requirements.

  • CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles of Management and Leadership

    The qualification is aimed at practising or aspiring managers who supervise or manage a team, or project officer and shift manager to achieve clearly defined outcomes. They will set and monitor goals and objectives by providing instruction, direction and guidance. Day to day operational and project activities are a key part of their role.

    This is a combined knowledge and competence qualification which is aimed at individuals who would like to develop a bank of fully comprehensive skills and knowledge necessary to supervise or manage a team to achieve clearly defined outcomes. In particular, this level 3 qualification would be most appropriate for practising or aspiring managers.

Level 3 adult offer

From April 2021, any adult aged 24 and over who wants to achieve their first full level 3 qualification, which is equivalent to an advanced technical certificate or diploma, or 2 full A levels, will be able to access hundreds of fully-funded courses.

19 to 23 year olds will continue to be eligible for their first full level 3 via the adult education budget, and for any additional qualifications made available through this offer.
